tevador looking to increase RandomX performance on RISC-V CPUs

tevador1 has submitted a pull request2 that aims to increase the performance of Monero’s RandomX3 PoW algorithm on RISC-V4 processors:

JIT compiler for RISC-V

The mining performance is about 75% of the Raspberry Pi 4, which is not bad considering the lack of vector instructions.

Consult PR #2752 to read tevador’s comments and benchmarks.

This is an ongoing story and the report will be updated when new information is available.

Update: PR merged, included in v1.2.05.
